The bike has about 15 hours on it total and about 45 minutes on the new high compression piston in it. I bought it to race Seattle Supercross in 2009. It hasn't been rode since.

does it need race gas?

I've always ran race gas in it, but no it does not need race gas. It is not a hot running bike, and builds plenty of reliable power without it.
