OK. Is this going to be a practice\race track? Hopefully no one will complain about it. 5th gear pinned is up the road and he has one neighbor who has almost put a stop to the whole thing! I will be crossin my fingers! There is nowhere to ride anymore.

Right now its a members only track. We are working with the county to get a conditional use permit to run events. As it stands right now though, we have a lot of work to do before we get that far.

The Fifth Gear Pinned deal had other issues aside from the neighbor from what I have heard, and so far the county is has been more than willing to work with us as long as we play by the rules.

The idea is to have a club track that is open for members to ride anytime, with events scheduled several times a year just as it was at Jolly.

First and Third thursdays of the month at 7pm, Secoma Lanes in Federal Way.

Article III of our bylaws:

A: Applicant shall be eighteen years of age or older.
B: Applicant must attend 6 consecutive, regularly scheduled club events before a vote will be taken by club members on admitting applicant into the club.
C:Applicant must fill out an application form.
D:Applicant must read a copy of the club bylaws before being voted into the club.
E:Applicants, upon being voted into the club, must pay all initiation fees and pro-rated dues within 30-days of being voted into the club.

There is other stuff that goes along with being a member, thats just how to get into the club.

Im actually headed to the meeting right now.

Randle........

SMC heading into “da hills” is about the best-of-the-best news I think I could’a heard.

I’m an old Jolly-Rogers fan (PUT JOLLY HISTORY LINK HERE) and have struggled with loyalties over the years but hearing about the club heading out (back) to the wilds has me excited.

SMC has roots that run deep.

It’s good to see’em doing what’s best. Can’t live in the toxic wasteland of Seattle then head out to the wilds (like days of old) and plant them root’s where they can grow strong again is what I say.

Driving directions from Gods own North Bend WA. To Randle

By the way, if anyone is interested in becoming a member, You can get 3 out of the 6 consecutive club events to become a member in about a week by attending tomorrows meeting, and helping out with our races at Burnt Ridge the 26th and 27th.

Thank you Justin,

Looks like I may have a new "most favorite" track.

Pic of an ole-timer at an oldie "Jolly Rodgers"

Q: How well does the new track new track soak up the "Westie" side of the Pacific Northwest Cascade rainfall.

Jolly was always a "hard-track (concrete)" sorta place and not much good come winter in the NW. Is the new place any better?

This track Sucks......when we built the track we had about 2" of rain and we were still working in powder.Once the irrigation is in it'll year round.
