Did anyone participate in this?

Anyway, it is ending this Monday 8/24/2009.

http://money.cnn.com/2009/08/2...stversion=2009082016

I feel bad for the car dealerships, they just got suckered into the biggest economic disaster in recent history. The next few months will be devastating to the car dealerships. All the people that were on the fence to buy, have already. Plus all the cars that have been traded in, will be destroyed... which means the dealers wont have the vehicles to sell (which they typically make their biggest profits from). They are in big trouble...

Talked with my buddy down at AAA auto wrecking,he explained that the yard is full of "clunkers" that have had the engines scuttled by some kind of addative that is poured into the oil while the motor is ran until it locks up. Its a bummer for him because it makes seperating the transmission very hard. The rest of the vehicle can be parted out.

Cash for clunkers has FAIL written over every part of it. The american people just got screwed big time by it.

I cant wait to see the number of Repo's skyrocket because people got into new cars they couldnt afford under this program, and wont be able to sell them because the economy sucks.

I understand the "trying to put better gas mileage cars on the road", but now we are going to put middle to low income people into cars they can't afford (housing market boom, sound familiar??), drive those folks into debt and destroy cars that could have been sold to others.

Instead we are stock piling cars that could have helped out low income drivers afford a car, either making the motor and parts useless or melting them down through refineries... (burning up those fossil fuels, whoo hoo!)for what???

Our government is so out of touch with reality that they think selling mostly forien cars will help our economy. People we just through away a billion dollars just like that.

Here's my Idea. Lets vote each and every current office holder stationed in DC out of office. Even if you have to vote for a Democrate. Vote the current dumb idiot elected official out of office.

Even Aaron and Paul and Alex have to agree that this stuff is insane what they are doing to America.

This board was way better when the Republicans were in power. All of us libs would go out and invest our time and resources ($) in the causes that we believed in, and then get on here for a rest, in order to talk moto. It is evident to me that if the con's devoted as much time to their causes as they do bitchin and moanin here, they might have saved their majority. Christ almighty, I have three kids, 8, 5, and 15 months old, and they have nothing on the snivveling that goes on here.

Maybe we have one thing to look forward to if the Republican party ever regains control; Waunches board will be a good place to talk moto again....
