Jan 15 I had surgery to replace my blown ACL and trim my meniscus.I arrived at 6:00 and was on my way home by 12:30.
Jan 16 I forgot how much I hate crutches (it does not help my left are is broke too)so I spend the daywith ice and and O.C. the velvet pillow... Jan 17 I wake up on the couch my sweetie cleaned up my messes, how nice to put the crutches across the room from me. In the process of getting the crutches I find I can bear weight on my leg so I start doing a modified hobble with light weight on the leg. By afternoon the crutches are back in the closet YEEEEhAA. Jan 18 Back to work office only leg up a lot back can "walk" straight leg.I work on stretching and get to 90 degrees the first day. Jan.19 things going much better.Tried to cut out the meds WRONG move!!!! Jan.20 first day of PT they say I am doing great Jan 21 I toss the brace and use my CTIs with stops (more comfortable) its easyer to ice it and walk for real Jan.22-31 walk and do PT and Ice and OC Feb.1-6 More PT no OC worked some easy jobs (way over did it)back on oc for the night.the next day leg is way stronger. I also have 100% motion in the knee.Now just need to work on strength. Going to take my road bike for a ride towmorrow. Thank God for UW sports Med clinic and DR. John Green III |
