Just starting a topic on what happened or have you seen these riders...It's been a while but I will start.

What ever happened to Michael Simpson? Remember he rode for Eastside in 03' 04' along with Tommy Weeck. He was fast! Kinda fell off the face of the earth!
Jenny Pray? Where did she go!
Cory Bauder & Jason Dempsey? Those two were AX rivals and always had good battles at Monroe! Haven't seen them since Nam'!

Anybody else you guys remember?

The Patterson's,

Wow many memories all good even the really old ones like when John and SIR introduced me to the "Mellon-Bounce". That'd be where yer head bounces off the floor of the red-truck (Ambulance).

Racing accident but whole day remembered to exacting details even today. Maybe it takes a hard knock to really set things straight.

Wonder how their doing?

I would them always at the races Dwayne vet int. Darcy womens class or was it still powder puff back then?
Races in the same class with Dwayne but rarely With him. I passed him twice over the years once at jolly passed him and rod cook buy railing the outside line while they brawling on the inside. The next time was at SIR I got third off the start with Dwayne 2nd and Cook 1st. So I square up the right hander to set up for a outside line in the next corner so I can triple into the whoops . All was going according to plan as they slowed for the inside I just kept it pinned and blew buy on my way to the coolest berm. As I make my pivot I see out of the corner of my eye Dwayne T-bones Cook so hard his bike pops out from under him. As I exit the corner I catch 3rd and lean back. Just as I hit the first whoop and get airbourne here comes cookies bike less cook rolling to a stop in my freaking landing zone. So I am thinking well that whoop won't be so deep now no biggy....until the spinning tire catches on the freaking dirt and standing up side ways . After things are a little gray I remember Bostik and Ryan Miskell asking if I was ok....yea nothing serious just a dislocated wrist.... wheres my bike? Never saw him on the track after

I hear ya Vern I do. Been suffer'n through screws-plates-pins-and-global warming lately but I hear ya. Cook and Paterson and Jolly Summer days. Time to pack up da-garden rake and head on down to Jolly. Da-Chevy will do (vette).

Crushed Backs, Broken-necks, Who said what to whom. Twas Jolly Rogers MX race track back in the day.

Last time I stopped by (20 odd years) the place had been converted to Condos!

I looked for photos but left with this

Aint no Hillclimb in background but Vic Ebbett snapped a pretty cool 1985 CR 500 Photo.

Step-Down was pretty cool. Is it me or is that a pre-big-time-DeVol-pipe-guard on me 1987 Red Monster Machine.

KX Days with Hill-Climb in background. Broke my Neck on-or-about-that-day chasing Rod Cook

Da vette. It's parked (still). The same car, same garden rake, diff MX Tire and plastic in photo.

John and Darcey are doing great. i talk to them now and agian when I make the trip up to the North end of the Island. They own/operate a bike shop (pedal NOT motor) in Oak Harbor. They gave up MX and started competing on mountain bikes. John claims that it is easier to get up from the mountain bike crashes than it was the MX. Here is their link:

Click on the photo gallery and you will see pics of them both. A little different than back in the day but who is the same Smile (that damn gray hair)

Dwayne Marker is still riding locally here in Wenatchee. He's an excellent customer of ours. Never knew how fast he was until I watched him put the screws to Dave Sylvestri!! Great guy. Excellent topic. Got me thinking about guys I used to hang with at the races. Whatever happend to Joey Mancuso (DeMarini Honda), Mike Storm, Brian Thibadeau, and Patrick Raddiger (Ranniger)???

I saw a dude with Mancuso on his back a couple of weeks ago at Mt. View. He was pretty smoothe.

I had wondered if he was the Joey Mancuso from back in the Woodland days.

90% positive that it was Joey Mancuso you saw, he still rides but doesn't race, last time I saw him was a few years back with Ryan Metzler at hindsight. I miss Jolly so bad I remember goin there one year on 80's and hit the table before the whoops and doing a complete 180 in front of the whole supermini class. that was a good day!
