I guess as long as there not child molesters I dont care what they do off the track. They are motocross racers not role models. Bite an ear, roll a rental car, beat up a compeditor, makes no difference to me. Untill he picks a fight with an Aussie I'm a Lawrence fan. Truth is I think there should be more fighting in motocross, that shits entertaining to me. Motocross and Mixed Martial Arts are my two favorite things, put the two together and Im stoked! For Lawrence to go out on the track and rail past a buch of sponsor thankin closet wankin robots is pretty cool. Fast is fast! Entirely too much time is wasted by guys like you and me debating guys like Lawrences right to race or be stoned in the pro pits. If he can find sponsors great, if he can ride a dirt bike faster then 99.99% of the people on the planet then more power to him...

p.s. thanks for posting something we can argue about...

Oh man...another J-Law debate! Whoooohooo!!!

2 things need to be said...

1. The boy has mad skills and rails - I don't think anyone can questions that.

2. He F***-up. Some people do and some people don't...

Yes he has F***ed up but you shouldn't call names just ask dawnB... then again her rules may not apply if your not clownin on her buddie... DawnB Please let us know if the name calling rule applies in this case. More specificly do you take offence to J-law or anyone else being called a F***-up?

personaly i liked it better the way you previously wrote it... it was more from the heart... the way it is now reads more like a politicians rehearsed professionaly written retracted statment, plus it makes my last post make no sence at all wich many will argue is simmilar to all my other posts. Personaly I say, call it the way you see it, ok f***er...

DawnB in order for you to better address this situation what Vetmx originaly said was - LAWRENCE IS A F***-UP, I know, I know harsh words and disturbing on multiple levels to say the least, however, it was said and needs to be addressed, is this acceptable because you are not personel friends with lawrence or do you take offence to it regardless of the fact that Jlaw isn't your buddie? If you do indeed find it offencive I will personaly request a written apology from the accused, Vetmx, to be posted on this forum.

Eagerly awaiting your responce, yours truly;
Auzzi 152

Like it or not people pro motocrossers ARE role models! Deal with it and get over it, if it is too much for you too handle get a job as an accountant. And yes J-law is a f***-up, if he wasnt he would not be in this situation.
I also realize the guy has mad skills on a dirt bike but he is a MORON!

Its all good...just got to remember the "audience" that is reading this.

All ages, all likes...

We aren't in a bar in Australia, so we need to act just a touch more civilized than those barbaric humanoids... Big Grin

I would have to fully agree with mx510...they are most definitely role models. My 4 year old watches Nitro Circus (I know, I know, not the greatest show on earth) but, he understands already that Travis is a complete nut, and tries to mimic his actions when he is on his bicycle or motorcycle at just 4 years old...so to answer the question, YES! they are without a doubt role models...

They are sport icons not role models any more then tenage mutant ninja turtles, Randy Couture or Hanna Montan. Its a parents job to be a role model and teach there kids who to look up to. If a parent chooses to hand that responsibility over to j-law then thats there bad. Stay super active in your childs life, dont ask them to do anything your not willing to do and step up and try earn there respect by chalenging yourself and you be there role model. Don't leave the parenting up to ol travis and the nitro circus although i will admit that show is killer. I make my 3 year old watch it then read him an article in transworld motocross or transworld bmx before i tuck him in at night...

Maybe eric can make us a section like the - pros only section - that you have to be 18 or over to log on to so I can truly express myself without stepping on little johnnys toes...

And eazy with the vulgarity and name calling mx be a good example... or is that just jlaws job...

ha you guys thought i was done...

furthermore... If he is a f***-up MORON as mx so elegently stated how was he able to succede at such a high level both racing and putting together his own race team and what does that say about you? did you win a supercross title? did you put together a race team and send it to the AMA supercrosses and the nationals? neither did i. where does that put us on the f***-up MORON meter?

Dude that last paragraph was way off base. So because I dont have J laws talent I am a moron??? No, J law is a moron because if he could keep his head on straight he wouldnt HAVE to field his own team. Oh and he was able to compete because he is talented, I never said he wasnt. Just imagine what he could do if he had the work ethic and the brains of Dungey, Wiemer, Canard, etc. You can not deny that his moronic actions have not negatively affected his lively hood and his stance with a lot of people and sponsors. Oh and another thing about his "team" why did he claim that he was running out of his own money that he put into this team??? I mean a stand up phenom like J-Law should be able to get good enough sponsors to run a team for a year without going into debt right?????

You all can look at it from many angles.
Bottom line is Jason Lawrence is a social miss fit
that cant seem to make the right dessisions in his life.
And he deserves everything he has brought onto himself.
I say pull his AMA license permanently and call it good.
