If you have sold a used bike this year and feel comfortable sharing the price you sold it for please post it below.

To simplify, can we just look at 250 and 450 Four Stroke used prices since those are the "in demand" bikes right now. I know the economy is terrible and bikes are cheap but I just want to get an idea of how cheap they have gotten.

I sold my 08 CRF 450 for $4500.00 last July, and it was super clean.
Also that was the best offer I got, it was posted for 4 months.

This is more of what I was expecting see with this question Frown

I'm thinking of selling my bike (08 CRF450, stock, 30hrs) but I fear I would only get $3,000-ish for it and then I would feel stupid about selling it. Because new bikes are so damn expensive now.... $8,000 .... I fear that if I sold my 08 it could end up being the nicest bike I ever owned due to not being able to afford another new one in a few years or whenever I could afford to get back into riding.

If it will only bring in around $3000 then it is worth it to try to keep it because how much can a person really accomplish with $3000 these days?

Keep yer 2008 CRF is my advise. Love the 09 for its handling and small feel but can 't say the same about reliability. Small stuff has cost me a $fortune?

Suspect Honda may have gotten the word! (finally).

Peeps over here (westies) are $buying up 08's.

Keep your ride napalm its getting to be riding weather up there. Bikes are so expensive to replace and if there is anything wrong with yours you at least know what it is compared to no riding for a year breaking down and buying a used bike with problems... oh yea it was 80 degrees down here today. going surfing Sunday!

Thanks for the pricing feedback guys! Unfortunately I think I will have to sell it but it will be my last resort. I'm going to hang onto my 450cc dust collector as long as I can. Even though I only use it 3-4 times per year I still would hate to see it go.

Yeah I would be nervous to take a $1200 250 2-stroke craigslist special out on the track unless I tore down the entire bike first to make sure it wasn't going to break down or blow up on me. At least with the old steel frames you can magnaflux (sp?) the welds on the frame to find cracks. Well, maybe you can do it on aluminum frames too but I have never done it.

Really Dave?? Thats awsome! I need to find a deal like that on a CR125! I'm currently trying to sell my 09' CRF450 for $6000. I've got more than that into the suspension and extras. Honda dropping invoice incentives and bonus bucks killed my resale value! Hey Workman, what issues have you had with your 09?? Mines been bulletproof other than a fuel filter. Finally got the thing dialed and now want to sell it.
