I'm interested in hearing from guys that have these. What are the good/bad about them? Are there any big problems, and if they have glitches what are the fixes for them. Thanks

Have a 2010 450 and love it. Absolute instant response. It was tough at first getting used to it, but after a few rides you do. I went from my '06 to this '10 so it was a big change. NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. Coming up on 20 hours. The good is they are great. Nothing bad to say other than the 'flame out' that you can get by chopping the throttle, but that can be fixed with idle adjustments. Have not had any glitches, so have no fixes Smile
Best running bike I've had. It's the lightest one too. I ride my '07 CRF 250 and then jump on the '10 450 and wieght wise they are almost identical...power wise not so much Big Grin

I do, I do, I do have something to say, Just can't remember what it is?

Oh yea I remember it's all about molecular decomposition, da CRF Fuel Filter thingy I mean. Drill down to any root-cause and you got a turning point. Go one way and you gotta solution the other and well it's a messed up mess. In the case of da CRF I'm thinking molecular decomposition because dat-som-bi~ch just-plain-stops-werk'n and not like it's plugged but just stops as in minutes. Plugged filters degrade over time but not so with my version of the injected CRF jobbie (early 2009). So yes Vern I do have something to say buvt it aint all bad.

In 2009 I picked up a first-run CRF 450. It had problems (expected for first runs) but I werk'd through'em. decomp-lever-breakage - turn up idle, flat-top-end - go Crower Cam, Down on power - ignition-fuel remap, need suspenders work talk to Yamaha, better yet get some of them Black-Kawi-Coated fork legs (seals too), even better go local suspender guys cause local is just plain good.

Bottom line HRC injection team needs werk, chassis team is worth a ga-billion $bucks.

I have a 2009 CRF450R I have had it a year this past weekend with ZERO issues, it is the best running bike I have ever owned. Supper power down low and mid, with stock exhaust it does have a fall out on power on the top end but with a PC T-4 complete exhaust that issue has been solved. I have EVO suspension the bike feels like a 250F but with mega HP.
I know this may come up so that you know, the fuel in the case only happened to me twice and it was my own fault by starting the bike and chopping the throttle right off the bat with out the engine being warmed up.

Thanks all. Soooo no one really has any info about the 250s though? I'm looking at the CRF250 just have't heard much about them yet. And Eric, the answer is no, the bike is running great.

We have 2ea. 2010 CRF250's one totally stock and the other one setup for the outdoor nationals. 35hrs on the stock and 10hrs on the other. No issues yet, still learning the programming. Boys noted the bottom end power was great, as all the reviews say there is none. They also noted how much smaller or lighter the bike felt.

I hear ya Hawk but can't attest to the "fuel in the case" thingy. Love my 2009 3 450CRF (350CRF cause it's seems impish) but also love it cause it's red. 40-30-20 years of switching colors has left me with "consistency" vs "performance". "$Cost-per-ride" vs "bring-it-home".

Vern: Seattle was a nightmare and had me (Dad) wishing we had brought the fuel injected bike. 3rd or 4th. time on a bike after broken back and no time to to setup 2010 for supercross, used the 09, ran great wed. and then again thur. for press day ride, come race day bike is bogging bad, thought we had it fixed with a air/mix adjustment (unable to check with shorten rain schedule). first race, bike bogged off the start then riding in fear still trys the large triple the bike boggs he comes up short and off to the Asterisk semi. for Xrays. just brusing and bent subframe. I am sure happy to be rid of the Antique carb.
Although the bogging problem was self induced, by him and his friend, I found dirt had clogged the small ports of the carb.
