I loved my 04 YZ250F. My 06 and the 08 Honda's have been really great bikes for me. Ive been thinkin for sure YZ this time around and now leaning alittle bit back towards CR. I generaly keep them mostly stock other than when the first suspension service is needed then EVO tune up. I wonder overall out of the box what bike is best? For old timer like me probaly just a color choice like what bike looks best with my red white blue REMAX stickers on it hmmm..
Has anybody out there road both bikes in stock setup back to back at Horn what you think? Thanks.

My philosophy has always been, go with the best deal! As I personally think that all brands of mx bikes are very good anymore except the chinese brands. So talk with your dealer and see what they can do for you.

TRA I'm a red fan (always been). Late 1980's I swore'em off (head shake) going down Jolly Rodgers down-hill. I went Yamaha (Magenta period) cause Auto-Dealerships had da $Bucks. Broken gear-boxes meant minimum $paydays with Mag so went green in da 90's but crushed (damn shock) da frame-to-shock-welds-point. Sent pics to factory (they gave in) they sent a non-serialized frame back to me. Triple ARGH! No numbers just something I could put back together and race. I did and in the end it was that last best race bike for me.

Small tale but true. It's mine, it's all I got (smiles) and love it. Am I green, not yet, blue - getting close, yellow (I gotta wonder), Red (I'm still pizzed off and that's just this year).

Wanna make me happy these days, make a good sandwich (smiles).

Very good point mx510 probally the way to go..

So Mr Workman this numberless KX frame was it like a factory race frame all extra gussyd up? early perimiter 90-91? I knew a guy that crushed one kinda same deal hmmm..

Ive owned everything but a KX not counting the kids kx's maybe i should of look at those a bit? Thought breifly about goin RM agin but
after 6-7 of them thats enough- my 05 ktm 125sx was a rocket maybe a 150sx? I think probally go blue even though its old school carbed..

If any body out there has a really really clean low hour stock 08 or newer yz125 that wants 08 crf250? idk i might consider trading-

gotta say go with the fuel injection for ease of use as you say thats what you are looking for. That plus this is a one year bike for yam so it would be harder to get after market parts and such later on.

What crater said yamaha sounds like this a one year deal then its onto EFI. honda already has it but, just closed the MXA where they test ride the new CRF250. says it has some issues similar to the 450 last year, stinkbug like, head shake pushes in corners.

Go vintage all across the board and pick up dave/trevor's CR125.

Ya but, Steve is just a touch on the biased side! Thats like asking Crater do you think your Hondas are any good, they could be HORRIBLE and he would say, compared to that YZ you have my bike is Kevin Windhams! Big Grin

Ask Moderbikecross Mike, he rode both of them Back to Back, Stevie Wonders Oh 10 YZF 250 and J-Shizzle's Oh Ten CRF 250.
