The Schiffman track is a great training facility but it sounds like they are really having to restrict who goes out there anymore. Its a big liability for them. I can tell you that the rain has little effect on the track there. In fact its usually just perfect after a hard rain and doesnt hold much water. If you see the video of Greg on Vimby you can tell that is was raining the day they filmed that and the track was still pretty good. Great coverage by the way Mike and Define the Moment.

Schiffmans track is the only place to go in WA as far as a real sx track goes. All of these other tracks that are "supercrossy" aren't going to cut it. If you don't want to spend the time going to Schiffmans If you are training in WA, don't waste your time trying to race the real deal. Wouldn't be a bad idea taking EW along for the ride, he knows his way around that track.

Oh yeah get him to man up and bring his own bike

Kleet,
Maybe you should have a full contact moto. You could ride with boxing gloves and football gear. Or maybe one of those huge puffy sumo wrestling suits?

Collin,
I'm wondering if Schiffman's got spectators stands. Seems like you've been there before?

No stands Ken but you can watch from up on the hill by the house or if they arent using the landing for the freestyle ramp you can see the whole track from it. Thats where I video tape little Charlie when we go out there. Are you planning on going Ken? I'd love to see you out there.

Hey Ken,
Grab the trusty lawn chair and come on out!
There isnt a bad seat in the house.

Spin05,
The barn track is great arenacross training. But not even close to the level Schifmans SX track is. I was training Gunner Evans and a few other riders at the Barn track last month. That track is a blast!

Hey Eric,

Think I might just do that if it's open to spectat'n that is.

Never been there but from what I've read on ole EW's Northwest Motocross Forum it sounds like the smak not the "Toasted Jalapeno, Onion and Olive Steak & Cheese topped with Chipotle sauce sandwich" kind (maybe) but it does sound like the sorta place an old mxer might wanna go just to watch and be amazed at the wonder of our own NW talent.

I personally don't care to ride the place (not that I ever could) but I have a couple of spectator-type-watch'n-dem-pros-$bucks burning a hole in my pocket and will gladly shed them just to see NW riders putt'n in good time to become world class. Wither they do or don't - don't matter, at least not to me. All I wanna see is effort. Put in the effort and ya got my respect. My only goal in MX was to never finish last! Seems kinda backwards I know but then I have my own idea abBout the "ig Bang" theory, of how the Universe came into being, of UFO's and Time-Space. But then that's me and I'm whack (more grins).

Ok so I'm some whacked out ole dude who happens to love riding motorcycles involving some level of risk taking and maybe it's biological, maybe. My pop never (hardly) spoke of his days in WWII (south Pacific) but George did (my 1970's girl friend's pop), he talked about North Africa and " Dysentery" and burned bodies on motorcycles and such. Now I see on TV and say "crap" it waas true!

I got my first ever bike (motorcycle) when a shop (Dragers) burned down on Seattle's westlake ave around 1969 or so. It was a 1966 160cc Ducati Desmo that caught my pops eye. He said it had suffered the least amount of flame damage. Not sure what he was talking about back then as (i) thought some of those Harley Davidson's looked pretty dang cool. By brother and i got the Ducati.

Desmo it was. Been an Italian fan ever since. Gotta love the engineering, the sound, dem boys doing good in World SuperBike. Gotta love'em all.

....back to reality!

EW...ole peeps need directions to this magical place called "Schiffmans" where the rain don't seem to matter and pro peeps are put'n it down.

PM me (please) KW

zack attack,

I've been setting my schedule for yer Dec 6 for two-three weeks now. Nov 28-29 Monroe for a most splenderforis and amazing pro AX racing weekend. Dang! Dec 5th I'm at Horn Rapids for a last blast send off. A bud's tying-da-knot (marriage) and well when the knots tied the knots tied. That leaves Dec 6 open and Jerry L says "Schiffman's" the smak. So where the blodddy h!!! is "Schiffman's" anyway.

"zack a" peeps need directions to your Shangri-la, a map to "Schiffman's", BBQ, and a bit-o $10 SX heaven. Lord knows I won't be riding anything like that. Besides how's a dude supposed to do it, tripling I mean. A throttle in one had and a "Toasted Jalapeno, Onion and Olive Steak & Cheese topped with Chipotle sauce sandwich" in the other. (grins)
