It’s Aug 18th 2011 as I write. The Markets are crashing, Volume’s are high and Valuations low, Europe’s in-a-bind Asia is reacting. I need a break. I am so looking forward to 2012 and some good-tight AX racing and so I’m looking forward to Lee’s 2012 NW AX National Series and some more good-good competition like last year. Who knows maybe I could even grab a Low-Carb Subway Sandwich too. Maybe something with Chipotle sauce-n-beef. Could happen.

Ok it's Now Sept. 1st Lee has got to be getting close to having a AX Schedule out.
Yep, he is. Talked to him yesterday. He's still in contract negotiations but sounds like a 2012 12-14ish event season. Press-Kit should be available soon.

WHR Press Kit arrived today, Very Nice!

What's with the 2 day race in monroe? Anything special?
Just seeing if something different works.
I know I like the idea. | ||||
Lee I was wondering if the 2 day races are point races both days? I will say I like this schedule as I won't need to drive to Pasco 2 times or not be able to get over the pass due to the pass. We have lots of friends that want to come see the racing and with all the Monroe rounds they can now make it to the races.
Yes all rounds will be points. You will be able to drop your worst rounds or miss, just like in the past. Remdond Oregon will be a double points round and the awards will be given out at Teds race in Horn the following Saturday after his Race on March 23. We are lowering the price for 2nd class to $25 and if you sign up for a 3rd $20. Pro class Lites and 450 will be $20 with a 200% payback and it will also pay out deeper. $25 drawing for spectators and $125 for Pro's each round courtesy of an anynomus donor. $10 gift cards for all participants from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC at each round. EBC is back. Thats what I got so far. Better get your Arenacross on, IT only 48 days until AX
Man I all ready shop Rocky Moutain ATV/MC and I love the $10 "race gas" cards they do. It is nice to see them being given out at you races, we can't wait to get started. My daughter Kari said all she wants is no short starts at Monroe again. She told me her crash on the start there last year sucked last night. LOL
Lee, Do you realize that by offering gift cards to online entities such as the aforementioned vendor makes it absolutely nonsensical for any local shop to support your series? I know of local shops that were contacted by WHR this week: Why should they support WHR when WHR is pluggin online shopping? When the math is done, something doesn't add up. Stay local...maybe we'll go down to Clark County since it means nothing to support local entities. Thanks for you time and consideration.
Well that is a good point, but last year we didn't have Rocky Mountain as a sponsor and Cycle Barn was the only shop who sponsored the series "kudos to them". I am just trying to get as much product for the riders as we can. If it offends you that I am giving the series sponsors recignition for there effort. I am sorry that you feel the need to slam me, but we are just trying to keep the Arenacross Series going the best we can. All of the certificates,products and discounted items we recieve for the series are given away to the riders.
Lee thank you for your prompt response. Let it be known I am not slamming anything or anyone. I was only asking a question and proposing a response (on my behalf) that you (as a promoter) would relate to. It is a shame that more shops don't support local race series' as they have in the past. Thank you and your crew for what WHR does for NW racing and NW racers. I was only bringing a peculiarity to light and appoligize if it was taken maliciously. No offense was ever taken on my behalf but I'm afraid that your proposal is alienating local businesses and business owners who may already be on the fence in their support of WHR motocross. Let me reiterate: I have absolutely nothing against WHR at all.
I try to support the local shops the best that I can but when it comes down to dropping my hard earned cash, and the local shops want 15%-30% more than what I can get it for on line. Then its up to them to get the prices down a bit or try other ways to be competive on price. It sucks but when you try to maintain 4-6 bikes for the family to ride I have to save money somewhere.
Oh puleeze. At least Rocky Mountain is making an attempt to help out the riders. They did this for the Devol series also. I raced Teds series for 3 years. This year I did two roounds and the two gift cards were the only thing I ever got from a series sponsor. What rocky Mountain is doing is great. To be honest I don't really understand where the sponsor money goes. There are many sponsors listed for many races and I have never gotten anything from them except for the aforementioned gift cards. ------------------------------------ If you wanna live life on your own terms you Gotta be willing to - CRASH AND BURN! ...
Paul if you race 8 of 10 in are series you will recieve a bag of stuff and award, no matter what place you end up
Paul. I would guess that Lee is in the same position as P.R.O.. Most if not all of the cash that is received from sponsors is to used up getting the series running. Advertising, trophies, equipment and most importantly all the time put into ramp up a series. Lee surely spends a bunch of time just lining all the events up and preping for the series. Until a person does it himself, they don't have a clue how much time is spent on running these deals. Also. Paul are you saying that you raced the P.R.O. series for 3 years and didn't get anything at the Banquit of Champions? That can't be because we give away a pile of product to all the racers of our series.
Ax practice still 3-9pm, $30?
