I have been impressed with my dealings with Straddleline. I have gone down there three times and each time come away with a smile on my face. It does get busy on the weekend so I advice one to go on a weekday, but what are you going to do, there is only one track to ride within 1.5 hours of Seattle. I will be at the track tomorrow to check out the new whoops, can't wait.

Thanks Elaine and involved parties for taking on the challenge of getting the track operational, again.

Was down there yesterday. The track gets more fun each time I go. It was a beautiful day to ride, a thought shared among many as there were quite a few riders out there yesterday.

The new whoops are fun, I was able to double through, but saw a few fast guys triple through, and a few skip across the top...pretty impressive.

I have yet to do the double in the middle of the track, probably 4th gear mid-throttle. Can't wait to go again, my next task is completing that double.

Overall it was an amazing day. I met some good people and put 2.3 hours on the bike, not bad.

Cheers all.

At Straddeline right now- noon Monday. Conditions perfect. Weather perfect. Dirt good as stradd can get. Unbelievably, only about 10 bikes out there right now. Max so far today maybe 20 total. All open ride so you could get 8 hours in if you were here.

Havin fun watching a couple 80's hit that big double. Yeehah!

Doing some midday track grooming, geeze it's nicer than last year!

I was wondering about heading down there on the 4th of July 2011 but wagered against it. Being the 4th I thought the place might be closed. I'm guessing plenty of other folks thought same.

You say 80's are hitting the big double? That's like saying girls can ride oh wait they can! Oh crap does that mean I gotta hit that double on say.. oh ... lap #1?

50' footer by my measure to table-top 70' if you want a nice-smooth-down-hill landing. Launch ramp angle looked to be about 25ish degrees translated means big altitude. A bit steep by my count for outdoors but if people are doing it then I guess it's ok.

Ken, I gare-own-tee that 80's were hitting that double. Two were flying over me while I was rolling it. Kids couldn't be over 11 years old, but they had the speed and the nuts to do it time after time.

Btw- guys were watering the whole course all day. Water truck hosed down about 1PM, but hoses going as needed where needed. Flaggers too.

All in all - you shoulda been there. Next time give into the urge to make the drive.

That jump keeps no one off the track. I was there sunday and the fast practice was just a free for all, 65, 85, 250 450 didn't matter want to go out sure go ahead. I talked to Elane about the 65's and she said she would take care of it, next practice there are more out there. I know I will not go back the place hasn't gotten any better, just more expensive.

when you hit the wall you have to choose to go over or around, why do you keep running into it?

Sunday at Straddleine was awesome, track groomed and watered. Only saw one 85 rider in with the big bikes but the kid was faster than all but about 5 pro/int? Number 61 Villopoto was showing everyone how the track was ridden Pro-style. Fun Day looks like Straddleline has a bright future to me!

We were there Sunday also. Gotta agree with Rays Dad... it was a good day. Track was as good as Straddleine has been in years.

As far as the little bikes being out with the big guys, ya there were a couple who did not belong out there. I know there was one kid on an 85 with us, that the track guy black flagged from the little bike practice because he was doing the double and told he had to ride the pro int jr practice. he and the other 85 rider out there were faster than most of the guys in the session so I kinda think they belonged out there.

wilcox,
So you are saying I can make it over that double in third on my 250F? I can easily pull that gear through the corner before. Looking to head out to Straddleline next week.

I went out there today and had a good time. They seem to monitor who goes out in what practice pretty well, and I appreciate that. They also had the track prepped well before and kept it water well! The other thing I thought was kinda cool (not for the guy this happened to though) was they kicked a guy out for having to loud of a bike. Its something that more tracks should look into I think, then maybe we wont lose quite as many tracks. Just my .02.

Track is Good-to-Go.

Had a fantastic time out there today. Looks like Straddleline is coming back into its own.

they added a double double that turned in a table double on sunday ... it was where those soft roller whoops were before ...

250r .... i do it on a 450 ... on a 250f you gotta hit the corner right and then shift to 4th and leave it on...

I hit the big double (lap #1) but no whips 747Heavy.

Why? cause it was there (grins).

4th gear like wilcox says, 3rd requires to many RPM's (CR 450)

I was very impressed with straddleline today. After the skagit supercross next weekend I'll be down again for the weekend. That step up double was a cake walk, best feeling jump on the track actually, perfect flight every time, 3rd half throttle would get you all the way, but 3rd tapped was fast and buttery smoothe on the fo fiddy.

I rode Straddleline this last Saturday and Sunday. The track was great! They have put a huge effort into getting the rocks out.

For my first time riding since I broke my fumur in April. This is what I needed. Two days of putting laps in. Not racing just out to ride and get back in shape.

Good times!

Track is 100% better than when we took it over a year ago... But we still have aways to go.... We were able to rip it last weekend for the first time and yes quess what there are rocks still down there... once the weather gets the dirt dry we will continue with our never ending sifting job... we do seperate the quads and bikes.. I let a few bikes that had showed up that wanted to ride with the quads out. turned my back and quess what i had 30 bikes out with quads... so the next go around i did not allow any bikes out with quads...
