I got this Forwarded to me...

"We would like to thank those that have been riding on our track. Unfortunately, that has not been very many of you. We are going to have to decide whether to stay open or not.

We understand the weather has not been the best, but our track stays firm even with rain. Yesterday we had no rain at all and the track was fine, but nobody showed up.

If there are issues with our track, we are willing to listen and see if we can do something about it. We would appreciate hearing from you.

We will be open this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and hope to see a lot of you there.

Thank you.

Dan and Audrey Dale

Riverdale Raceway"

Has anyone been lately? Sounds like they need some input/support...

Ryan Kummerfeldt and my self went to riverdale about two weeks ago and it was really good for the amount of rain they have had. there was only one section that was bad. so if your wantin to ride out doors riverdale is def not muddy like the others

Ok, We gotta couple of hard hitters here saying RiverDale (http://www.riverdaleraceway.co...&page_name=MotoCross) sounds good for Turkey-day-2009 - or after.

Me I'm still heading over to family on Thur and then Monroe on Fri-Sun for most amazing NW AX.

Proximity peeps ... proximity, that and Gas milage (gotta park-da-Vette)

Riverdale was good today. They added a section to the track. For as much rain as we have had the track was in good shape. There was some mud and ruts but all in all it was good. I liked it better than Toes but that's just me. I'll post up some pictures later.

Paul,

You liked it better because it was in you hood, Toes is in mine.

2hrs (one way) is what I call my hood. I hear the further south you go the lower that number becomes. Makes SoCal sound pretty good but then again there's that whole Global Warming crap thing going on.

I hear Goer's making a ga-zillion $bucks with his PowerPoint slide Show (An Inconvenient Truth). I saw it for the first time today on TV and was appalled at the quality. Do people not question anything anymore. Hey I got as red bike I wanna sell.

So what about the opposing side (noteviljustwrong.com) by Phelim McAleer. Dude was on KIRO's 9-12 radio talk show (Dory Monson?) and sporting an alternative view.

Gore, Dory, Green dudes or whatever I just wanna ride but the how of it going forward sounds pretty scary to me.

What do I know...? I know thaqt USGS data is available and that Cubic-Feet-PerSecond (CFS) of water flowing past my hood has increased by 28% over the past 48 years (that whole USGS data thing). So I gotta wonder where all that global warming is going. It's one day past Turkey day here in my hood and the rivers are high and the fields flooded.

Paul are you saying RiverDale can take on a Typhoon Gore and survive. Should I be driving my 2hr 15min to RiverDale for a maybe or should it be 1hr 50min to Toes? Either way I'll get plenty of Bee-Gee's music a guaranteed "Toasted Jalapeno, Onion and Olive Steak & Cheese topped with Chipotle sauce sandwich" to boot.

I like Riverdale better than Toes because of the track, not the drive; although 1 1/2 hrs vs 3 hrs is a plus. For me, the main track at Toes was too busy and over my skill level. It wasn't fun. The Jr track got boring after a while. I'm not slamming Toes in any way, it's jsut for my skill level and what I want in a practice track Riverdale is better.

Paul, just to clarify, the Jr. track is the busy one and the easier sand track is a National track. The National track is 1 mile long and you can go almost as fast as your bike will go out there. The Jr. track is just a little jumpier with firmer dirt.

Sorry steve, my mistake. Again I wasn't slamming your tracks. Those with more skill than me will like Toes better.

We rode there today and it was a little muddy. There was a few muddy sections, but overall not too bad. There were some good ruts in a few corners..All in all we had a good time especially for a track on the west side in the winter. It is about equal distance for us to go to Toes or Riverdale. I'd say they are both good for training. You need skills that both tracks give you. God knows the tracks at the start of our outdoor season will be wet and rutted, but it sure is nice to ride a dry track like Toes too. I like them both.

How does it compare to the old riverdale track? I loved that track probably my most favorite tracks anywhere. big jumps sandy dirt awesome when really damp, ruts and berms... heard the new track is small no jumps and rocky?

Drew there are some rocks, one big double, a couple 50' tables. The soil is just like the old Riverdale.
