Just got back from the track. If weather stays good, track will be prime by tomorrow evening.

Crater.. Practice starts at 5:00/5:30 somewhere in that range.

If the stars are aligned, and my kids dentist appointments go quickly, I may come out and race.

Well I raced last night, even with the teachings of sensai's Workman and that Asian Sensation guy I rod like crap. It was fun but the downhill was sketchy, they ran the entrance right before the woop/rythym secton that parallels the woods. The problem was going from light to darkness with a real soft rutty step down in the middle. It's still too much money. Note to self, do not wear yellow tinted goggles, the glare is horrendous with them. Note two to self, turn on the gas before the moto starts DOH!!!!!!!!

There were only 2 pros that showed up. Rudy Mansano and one other guy. They didn't race for the $500 because there had to be 5 riders for that. Rudy won the first moto, but crashed on the step on step off in the middle. I'm not sure if he was trying to clear the whole thing or just over jumped the step on but he ended up breaking his ankle.

I can say that the reason no pros showed up comes down to 2 things. first off no one knew about it. This was the only place that I heard anything about it. There needs to be enough time before hand to let all the pros know. Also the 500 bucks was just not enough. It would mean just over 150 bucks to win. That is not going to pull a ton of riders. I didn't go becauseit would hae cost me close to 100 to get there and race so why risk it for 50 bucks. it comes down to risk vs reward and risk can mean money or crashing or whatever. just my 2 cents.

It's good you didn't show up, although I was hoping you would. You would have been slightly Big Grin miffed had there only been 3 pros and you were racing for $15.72 Big Grin

Kind of late but practice starts at 5:30. Only 2 pros showed up. Had 5 in 250 C and 19 in 250 D. Rest of the classes were pretty low turn out.

I won't be back on Friday nights because $45 is toooo much for 12 laps (4 practice and 4 per moto). They need to lower the price and make it a spectacle. Have music, an announcer have give aways. Too many promoters miss the spectacle part of the race.
