We just ran for the first time and had a good time. The track was tough and challenging. One thing that I saw is that you need to reposition some of the flaggers. You REALLY NEED a flagger at the top of the uphill that can flag the riders before they hit the step up. In one session, the jump got a bad kicker on it and 2 seperate times a rider crashed the landing and no one was there to warn the riders coming up the hill.A couple really close calls,it is totally blind over the top.You had a couple of flaggers that were in areas that were really not needed, they could be re positioned.Other than that,we had a good time and will be back.
Cheers!

Thanks Tod for dropping your bike and running over to flag the riders. the flagger finally got there 3 laps later.
And they turn away expert flaggers who offered help for free.

Lance would know where to put flaggers

One other thing that i didn't like was all those wooden fence posts around the mini track.
Think straw bales or tough blocks. Someone is going to hit one and get hurt bad,Whisky Throttle !!

about the fence posts, there will be a fence there by next friday to keep people from riding though the mini track. whisky throttle on that track can make you end up 60 feet down at the bottom of a steep hill too.

Get more flaggers!!!! Today there could have been a very nasty situation. The double after the table after the step on step off needs a flagger since it is blind. Today I went off that jump, looked down in the air and saw a guy and a bike laying in the middle. I jumped right over the top of him and had know idea he was there.

Its not always about having more flagger but having flaggers that really know what to do in different situations.

iknow somtimes it sucks.and we complain about flaggers.i agree with you,but i think what we got is what we are going to get.i think the only thig we can do is help out.i know if that happen to me i would have stoped and try and direct the traffic.if there is no flagger there then we need to take over as riders, and help.i know a lot of people would just keep on going then complain.but what if that person was hurt.we got to be a team as riders.

Per ecr450 - "we got to be a team as riders." Right on -

Today at the rock garden - a kid dumped and couldn't move for a while in a hidden spot behind a double (no flagger nearby). So both me and another rider stopped in the middle of the track and became flaggers waving everyone off. However many of the first wave of riders whipped by almost hitting him. Its a riders responsibility to not only look ahead, but recognize a hazard and react quickly. Second group of riders past did fine but all it takes is one to bust him up by not paying attention. Not to be too hard nosed, but the kid gave indications of back injury and getting clipped could have really made it worse.
