I just want to confirm that the website is correct and that there is a race this Friday AND Saturday w/ a practice Sunday. All other races are Friday's and Sunday's and not Saturday. Please advise....

That is correct, and the schedule is good through June. This Friday at the race, I think you can get a corrected schedule. As far as I know, the one on the website is correct, except for July 18-20 when the NHRA comes to town.
We are leaving tonight for Speedworld, so you guy's are on your own, but I'll try to get as much info as I can before I leave.

Adam went racing last night. cost $5 for gate $35 for racing and $10 for me. Pretty low turn out.He got 3rd in first moto out of 12.Junior C Not to shabby. There was one guy that was getting lapped and a few corners before the finish Adam was going around him and the kid started racing him and ran him up on a berm and almost took him out. He was race 11 on race 9 2nd moto they shut down about 9:15 I guess a funny car hit the was at the drags and they would not start moto 2 till all the funny cars and dragters went. We left about 10:30, and they were still getting ready to start race 9.They were making up rules as they went something about only 2 laps. Hes not sure if he will go back for Fridays maybe Sunday races.

I would be a tad bit upset if I paid 40 bucks for two laps. They need to realize that the pricing structure for the races is too high.

Id rather have 1 moto with more laps and only charge say 25.00 for that. Then maybe run 2 classes if you want more ride time. Its just too hard to fit in 2 motos in on a week night.

It might have worked out OK if the Drag racer were not racing funny cars the same night probaby would have been done by 10:30. Just was'nt set up to well. Plus they opened the downhill up hill for the race but not during practice.Kind of crazy

Weather was good with clear skies and temps around mid 70's. The downhill was run for sure but only in the first half and then not for practice. Read nobody ran the downhill prior to the first race. Don't know bout you but for me "I wanna see it before I race it"

Turnout was lite and water truck was on the track at 5:30PM but it's s good water truck (NC Machinery single axle) and put just what was needed down. Watering was good.

13 races were scheduled with about half being small bikes (50-85) race #13 was int-pro. With waffle fries in hand and a couple local (you know'em) gals badgering me we all watched a decent first half that lasted for about 2hrs, even had a funny cars chut fail on the drag strip and some minor panic by those folks figuring out what happened. Tank slapper but didn't see any fiberglass flying like last year.

This track reminds me of the old days when SIR was more than just hard pack with a turn or two. It's got lots of turns now and switchbacks too and it's got rocks. They're still there just like before. If you remember the days when "Devol Eng" put out those two stroke pipe guards you'll know what I mean so hey Ted any chance you got any of that 6061-T0 left for us SIR (ok PIR) dudes. Maybe break out an old (or new) hydra-form press and keep us locals happy. Pipe guards dude!

As for me my mind hasn't changed. SIR (ok PIR) is evolving into something. It seems good and from what I can see we may very well be on track to those 400+ rider turnout days. Good location, apparently concerned owners and user demand. Put all that together with good sandwich, like a "Toasted Jalapeno, Onion and Olive Steak & Cheese topped with Chipotle sauce sandwich", and you'll git this rider interested.

Sounds like someone needs to hire a new chute packer. Good thing they aren't skydiving!

maybe i could do it for those guys , it isnt hard(chute packing) my car used to run 770s 176mph at 3100lbs and i never had th chute fail. most of those cars use CO2 to pop the chute out
