What's going on at Pacific on July 4th? All day riding I'm hoping.

MX PACIFIC @ Pacific Raceways will be closed on the following dates through the month of July

FZA Promotions and the MXPACIFIC at Pacific Raceways will be CLOSED on the 4th of July. MXPACIFIC at PR will be open on July 3rd between 10am and 6pm and will be open on July 5th and July 6th normal business hours for practice.

CLOSED DURING NHRA Week at Pacific Raceways July 14 thru July 20
MXPacific Motocross track will be closed during this week for the NHRA at Pacific Raceways

I would not be surprised to see them closed on washougal nat'ls weekend also

why close on the shougal national weekend you would be surprized theres quite a few people who dont care about a race an just want to ride bikes ....not everyone thats rides mx tracks are into pro racing ...

i have had some of the best days at a track when theres a big race going on some where else ....

Hey All, Horn Rapids is open on both Washougal National Weekend and July 4th weekend.

Nope......... Racing and practice will go on as planned.

The reason it is closed the weekend of the NHRA ntl's is due to concern about the nitro cars having a problem and running off the end of the track. They have already had several cose calls in the shut down areas (not at PR) and they do not want anyone at the end of the drag strip.

That's easy to overcome: Move the dragstrip.... or run the cars the opposite direction so they go careening into the spectators. At least then something interesting will be on the late night news instead of every other word stating "Gas prices have risen XXX amount". We want to ride!!!!

Actually they are moving the drag strip but I don't think it will be done by the end of the month

Practice maybe.But alot of guys do amutaur week before the natl's .So normaly you get very low turnout between the two.My local track does not race that week.I know pacific did not race on friday night last year either.But new management so.

I'll have Bob ask at the next Friday night riders meeting, how many people will be at Washougal on the 25th.
