"down..." as in hip, cool, bad, solid, rad. DOWN: adj; describes as in what happens when one proceeds to take hands off handlebars while attempting to simultaneously click up a gear and clear an obstical where you and possibly your bike achieve a higher altitude than ground level.

Can also apply while at ground level but either way soil is sampled at a high rate of speed. For some this is faster than others but the affects are still the same.

Can usually be demonstrated visually at any given motocross race at any given moment. Best exhibited at the largest jump on the track to get the most out of a demonstration of how this word works.
