Renton Motorcycles Presents:

2008 Northwest National MX Series - Rounds 9 & 10

Brought to you by: Motosport.com

This is it, our finale weekend at Portland International Raceway. This
facility and track are awesome!!! Plus we will be having a Retro Themed
Weekend. So dig through that old gear and come out sporting your old retro
gear.

We will also be adding a couple NEW classes that will follow in the retro
theme, 125cc Open, 250cc Open and Vintage class which will be added to the
schedule for both days. Both the 125cc and 250cc classes will be 2-Stroke
only classes and the vintage class will allow any bikes from 1995 and older
to compete around the PIR track. The new classes will be $20.00. Special
prizes will be awarded to the best dressed retro rider and best prepped
retro bike. It's going to be awesome!

Rick Wylder of Thursday Night Motocross and crew will be assisting and
prepping the track to perfection for this weekend's race event, which will
include a GRASS START and GRASS TRACK SECTIONS!!! No other track in the
Northwest has a grass start! The new grass sections will add about 40% more
track to the existing track.

If you have not been to this facility, then it's time to head down for this
weekend. The track offers safe challenging obstacles, which is great for all
ages and skill levels.

Factory contingencies will be available on Sunday from: Honda, Kawasaki,
Suzuki & Yamaha. Must have a P.R.O. Membership to be eligible for any
contingency prizes.

We hope to see you all there for a great, fun and exciting weekend of
racing.

Yes he did. He had some ups and downs throughout the weekend. Everyone should ask him about the last moto and what his dad had to say to me afterward. While I know Jake has alot of potential, his temper and his fathers temper and attitude towards racing and other racers were not so good.

Very intersting, strange not reading about Metzler with PIR. Looking for results?
Crater
Being OLD I tend to not be so politcally correct, met Mr. Ansett at the Am Nationals. Haven't seen Jake around here all year so his success Sat aroused interest. Watching Tevin I know what to expect and he does as well. Final thought is if the kids left most of the parents at home we would have "cleaner" races. JR
Results if possible, second thought on Ansett fuzzy mem. of him at Clark.Co. race ?maybe??

sorry metzler got 2nd in about all the motos behind lacy. tapia and ansett, crater fighting for the next three spots. tapia had trouble ith the starts< not bad, just no holeshots but with those guys up front they we gain some ground with clear track in front of them. the one moto tapia was on lacys heels and trying to pass he got taken out. metzler rode good and clean sunday.

Kevin Urquhart had some good finishes as well, and ended up winning the final Pro moto of the weekend.

I got the Lacey/Tapia thing on video! Also I may have got the Anstett/Tapia thing as well. I was standing right there but don't remember if I was filming or watching.

I had words with Mr. Ansett once at MXGP when he reduced his kid to tears in the parking lot.

Prick, plain and simple. I hope he does not ruin the kid as I see the teams and sport are not going to tolerate that behavoir to much longer.

Tevin ran up front, Lacey ran up front, Ansett on Saturday up front. Crater looked tentative after the get off on Sat. Metzler on Sun. was near the front.

oh, DAMN it was hot out there!

I kind of wish my Dad was tougher on me when it came to MX while I was growing up. Maybe I would be a lot better today for it. Then again I also see where it got MANY a friend and MANY a fellow rider and all I have to say is I am still racing they are not. I guess he knew I never had any potential since you have to start out with some amount of skill/talent.

My Dad had MANY a go round with a lot of parents at the track because of the way they were treating their kids. It never sunk in to the parents brain though. I still see it to this day and I don't think it will ever change in this sport.

Too many parents living vicariously through their kids and already spending the cash that their kid is suppose to be making in a few years. YEAH RIGHT!!!

Saw J. Ansett Wednesday June 25 at Pacific where he looked good on a rough track (dust). The guy had two bikes, one big one small one four stroke one two, and a pickup truck that's it. Simple. He's got kills.

you must have been at a different race than me. Tevin and Jake showed the most speed all weekend ( not including Lacy who was very consistant) Sat it was all Jake until he hurt himself told me he hurt his Sternum on Sat. I saw it and it didn't look right. Sunday Tevin was the fastest by far, but had alot of equipment problems all weekend (dnf's due to bike failure) I would like to have seen what it would have been like if Tevin could have switched bike's with any of the other front runners. The three fastest guy's were Lacey, Tapia, and Anstett. Anstett early Sat was very impressive, and those three showed a ton of speed. Don't forget the last moto were Kevin woke up and checked out with the help of Crater's good start holding some others up. Don't think Metzler ever had the lead. Open Class summed it up best with ; Tevin ran up front, Lacey ran up front, Ansett on Saturday up front. Crater looked tentative after the get off on Sat. Metzler on Sun. was near the front.

I thought the track was great! Some bad choices on watering later in the day on the jump faces. Had some good panic revs. Overall perfect! Other than getting lumped in with some C & D riders and getting a bruised rib Eek Thanks again Ted and all of the Crew! Another EEEEpic series. Washougal this weekend, I'm hoping the blisters heal and my rib allows me to laugh without crying!
