I personally don't like any points being tossed out. You miss a race sorrrry! I lost the 30+ Championship because of it!

Yea i see the good and i see the bad.On one hand a guy got more points than ya without even showing up.so my hats off to them. But there should be something said for the guy that makes every race or more races too.I would have also moved up atleast a spot more than likely.A guy like you thou who is real consistant almost gets penilized for it.My two dropped races were one i missed and 4 points i got after crashing twice. So it didnt effect mine too much. But the guy ahead of me missed 2 races so he got no deduction. For someone like you, your better off missing a weekend of racing!!!!!!!!!,

We will be changing the series points layout for next year (2009). Let me know what your thoughts are so I get everyone opinions. It just helps make the racing better!!!
Send your suggestions: gdevol@pacificracingmx.com |

We felt it was easier for all the riders to compete in the entire series without forcing them to race everysingle race. Bad for us good for the rider? I think in the long run it was good for us and the riders. our final event in Portland was just under 400 each day. So maybe the throwout races kept more in the series.
Who knows. We've tried a lot of stuff to build our numbers and have learned that giving good customer service (listening to the riders, building fun tracks and having great staff) our turnouts have been record braking. Keep your ideas coming. |

I vote for throwing out the races. There are too many things that can pop up that could ruin your series.

Clarence, I fully appreciate your attitude. For me though, work can say we need you in Italy next week and I would hate to have something like that ruin my championship hopes, I can do that on my own. Oh by the way, I gave up golf to start racing MX again. I was a 5 hdcp and it wasn't fun anymore, although it didn't hurt as much when I screwed up

Ted,
Im on fence either way on the throwout thing. As long as you still have a min. amount of races you have to race.I think im cool either way.As far as portland.I know a women rider who figured it out that she had enough points between her and 2nd place with the 2 throwouts. So she skipped racing portland, but did show up to watch.Maybe if there wasnt throwouts she might have been forced to race... Also how do you handle it when 2 people are tied in points???? |

It seems kind of odd when you miss 1 race and the other guys misses 2 but still wins the championship?? Paul....anytime you want to golf let me know! I'm actually around a 15 handicap

Actually I don't think I could break 90 without a few days of practice.
