Beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend David Michael “DJ” Rose Jr, 24, went to join his Heavenly Father on December 26, 2008 at home in Yakima. David was born in Yakima, WA on November10, 1984 to Kim and David Rose, Sr. He attended Wide Hollow Grade School, Selah High School and graduated from Yelm High School in 2003. David had a great passion for Motocross, turning professional at age 16. He had numerous professional accomplishments and sponsors. When he was younger, his whole world revolved around Motocross. He loved the sport, the challenge, the travel, and the hundreds of friends he made from all over the country that shared his passion. The kid was hard to beat on the track but everyone’s friend in the pits. He also loved skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, wakeboarding, water skiing, music, Mexican food, the smell after it rains and U4 racing fuel, the color green, brand new socks, Sour Patch Kids, spaghetti, Fierce Grape Gatorade, vintage & thrift stores, Washougal at 7am, and Dave Matthews at the Gorge. More than anything, he loved his friends and his family. Everyone who knew David would agree that he was one of the most loyal and loving people they have ever known. If you were a friend, you were a friend for life. He treasured his relationships more than anything else.
