Two questions, How long do you think that header will last and do Honda's currently have rocker arms?

Joshy's got one on order. That is one ugly mother, coming from a Honda guy too. Anyway, we were talking that this is probably the future of MX, Honda always seems to be cutting edge.

I dont like the white fender, and the header coming from the left side of the engine, around the cooling hose and around the front of the frame seems kind of wierd.

I look forward to riding that thing though.

I can imagine that it is worn out after your ordeal with the water truck! Big Grin

The 09 bears a striking resemblance to this ugly mother!!!

not that i know of... they have a fork thingy (highly technical term) that is actuated off of the single cam. The single cam is overhead of the intake valves and the fork thingy (forked rocker i guess) operates the 2 exhaust valves off of the center lobe of the cam. That probably doesn't help...

Grrr, I picked the wrong year to get a bike for business purposes. This would have been a good bike to get for developing products because I'm betting they are going to be very popular bikes.

I hope there will still be plenty of people out there keeping their 08s because I'm almost done with a pretty slick air filter conversion kit I made for the 05-08s........... Ken, you keeping yours ??

Anyone want an 08 with 14 hours on it, ha ha!

I bet Ted is drooling over making a gaurd for that thing... SS will help with damage but if you really think about it the current routing of TI headers are not all that protected from crashes/rock dings either.

I had a Leo on my YZ that had the carbon fiber wrap around guard and thats the only pipe I didn't get a rock/crash ding in. I don't know why more manf. don't make wrap around guards. Unfortunatly the pipe was 10' long so the back end was beat to hell!

So now that an 08 was already $7200 and an 09 is $7600 shouldn't the price of one year old used bikes be going up a little bit?

It seems like a well taken care of 08 should be worth at least $5000 but I bet it would be hard to get that. It seems like the cost of used bikes has stayed the same for several years while new continues to increase.

Oh well, I'm done venting now.... I would be an idiot to spend that much money on an 09 that would spend most of it's life sitting in my garage (and loose that much money on my 08) .

Yeah but I don't need anymore write offs because I don't make any money. Haven't paid income tax for the last 3 years..... even when I'm working a normal job I get a 100% return.

Don't know why I still keep trying to make it against the big boys but I guess I enjoy torture/challenge.

In the rear view picture you can see that the air box is curved on both sides to allow for a dual muffler set up.... don't know why else they would shape it like that.

That probably means the 250F will get a similar make over for 2010.

My 08 better last a life time or I will have to ride blue. One thing though from the back it looks like a KTM, pretty soon Honda will have no plastic too.

I bet this guy would argue with you. (From Motodrive.)

Bike belonged to Chaz Holladay who, while mildly burnt on the arm, walked away un-injured."
