I'm thinking I should just go with stock Sunstar steel (I don't want to drain my bank account) but want to know if anyone has had any luck with any other brand (aluminum etc..) that lasts? I've read a lot of + & - on every imaginable sprocket but I want feedback from those in my area that compete on the tracks in this area.

Also if you know of any that absolutely do not hold up please let me know. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

the jt racing new alum rear sprocket had on on my yz 250 for awhile has lasted as good as any other alum sprocket i've had. look on amazon.com for the best prices where i got mine was like $36 i think it had free shipping and it looks pretty good.

Thanks, I'll check into that being these will be going on a YZ250 as well. Plus I know aluminum comes in blue. I've never been into blinging out my bike but I am desperate to find more speed

I did a quick search and it looks like a seller has rear alum sprocket specialist on there for $32 plus $5.49 Shipping not bad for a sprocket specialist they usually run $50 for their stuff.

We been using Tag sprockets with very good results

did chain & tag sprockets = shops at motosport haha the jt rear alum sprocket i have my yz is lasting as good as the tag and i've used tag many times before.

you know what i think its all about the chain even the cheap sprockets are fine if you have a good chain. we pay for the look

Put on a new chain and sprockets, keep the chain properly adjusted and you can get a lot of riding out of the cheap sprockets.

Looks like I am going with the Supersprox. Used my latest RMATV Race Gas gift certificates to help bring the price down. They claim to have a "lifetime" warranty. If I can get the same amount of use I have gotten out of the stock chain/sprocket; I'll be happy. Who knows if they even need to be replaced; but I am going to anyhow.

tag abd pro taper sunline is pretty good too

The twin ring sprocket and O-ring chain will most likely last the longest. The chain and sprockets wear out together. They should be replaced at the same time. But I'm sure you know that.

I am a Renthal sprocket guy. I also just got an RK gold oring (thin) chain that is awesome. I just love the look of the Renthal, its a classic.

My daughter had a sponsor deal with Supersprox and the stealth sprockets lasted 2 seasons and still looked great. The lifetime deal is if you buy the sprockets/chain combo and when you need to replace the rear you have to send them in for inspection. I would put them on my bikes without second guessing it

Without a doubt Iron man sprockets outlast all others. I can go as many years on an iron man as I go months with others. Worst well known sprockets seam to be renthal. Tag are way behind iron man but one of the better I've tried.
