When it comes to clutch plates and YZ's OEM is best.

The same thing happened to my 2005 yz this weekend at the PRO race at Horn. Looks like Yamaha has a weak link in their clutch baskets.

Read what EW? MY 2001 YZ 125 was raced/rode a lot and it took a year to smoke the clutches, back then I was a chunky 200lb. Now I'm a stealthy 175 on my fresh 09 125. Question: The guy I bought it from has a brand new complete after market heavy duty anodized blue clutch kit, can't remember if it is a barnett or hinson? Spendy$$$! should I buy it? What brand of the two are best? Or should I just run the stock set up and just change clutch plates when needed? I just ride 5-7 lap motos..

If you ride an 06 YZ125. You HAVE to update this part! A MUST! I have seen the old part go out and mess up many motors.
