Every pro class this week has been extremely exciting, and we keep preaching “the best moto of the week”. That said, we’ll keep attesting that the racing is just getting better and better. This time around, KTM rider Tevin Tapia grabbed the holeshot with the Suzuki of Ian Trettel and Honda of Houston’s Lance Vincent extremely close behind. By the lap 1 mark, this group had already set quite a pace in front of the rest of the pack. With blistering fast lap times, the trio battled within one second of eachother, with third place rider Vincent pushing extremely hard. He made his way past Trettel on lap 3, and set sights on Tapia within lap 4. Coming out of the gator pit, Vincent held the gas much father than usual, vincent_tapia-5940causing both him and Tapia to take a massive launch into the face of the “dinner table” where Vincent was able to capitalize and make the pass (We’ll nominate this one for Pass of the Week). By the last lap, Tapia started to fade slightly due to a very twisted ankle, allowing Trettel to move into the 2nd position, yet three seconds behind Vincent - a gap that would be prove to be impossible to break. In incredible form, Vincent took the checkered flag, followed closely by Trettel, with Tapia then quite a ways back.

With Thanksgiving in the history books, Mini O's motocross is in heavy swing here in Florida. The track is mint, the weather is perfect and the racing is second to none. See below for a quick recap of Friday mornings heat races.

bisceglia-5670
Fox Racing/Red Bull/Yamaha’s Matt Bisceglia looks right at home on the big bike. He showed speed on the SX track early in the week and he’s picking up right where he left off on the MX track. MB took the win in the first moto of the schoolboy class.

65 (7-9) Stock D2
jairala-5700When Gabriel Jairala and Jordan Bailey jumped out front off the gate the stage was set for an epic battle in the (7-9) heat race. And while the two rubbed plastic for the first lap, the man from San Antonio found the extra gear to pull away as the field began to click off laps. Bailey would eventually disappear from the number two spot, leaving Jairala with an easy, but much deserved win.
