| I had an epiphany lastnight while laying in bed. Why dont we do like a lot of other regions around the country and drop the D class? we keep the unlimited motos but just have A, B, and C classes. This would combine the C,D classes, and promoter/sanctioning body bumps the top 10 in the Jr. class to intermediate. this would get bigger gates, and shorten up the day with out limiting people with 450s classes to ride. Then with the shorter day we can add classes like 125/250 2 stroke, or other fun classes. that way the profit margins won't vary too much for our beloved promoters.

| Justin - this is where the AMA's messed-up amateur system throws a wrench in things. Those C class riders that are chasing Loretta's are not "as fast as the slower B riders" as you said, some of them are as fast as the fastest B riders, but they hang in the C class for as long as they can so they can be competitive nationally (next time you get a chance, watch Moua and Herzog battle it out in the "Junior" class). As long as the self promotion rule is in place for all local races, you will have sandbaggers really fast kids in the C class chasing the dream... Can't blame them, but it sure seems unfair to the true newbies.
